The Great Tourney of Harrenhall: Day Four

June 27, 2012 in Fan-Fic, House Stark by Lyanna Stark

Benjen woke up, what he considered early for himself. He dressed and went outside his tent just as the sun was rising, but no one else was awake yet. Or neither Brandon or Ned wanted to leave their tents. Their first two days there Lyanna had been with one of them, and he’d been the last one out of his tent with threats from Brandon they’d leave him behind. Without Lyanna to intervene between them, it looked like they weren’t going to talk to each other. So, without anyone else awake he went back into his tent. She was still

War Stories (POV)

June 6, 2012 in Fan-Fic, Game Of Thrones, House Baratheon, House Lannister, House Targaryen by Ser Barristan the Bold

I stood there rigidly as His Grace quaffed down yet another cup of wine, my hand resting on the pommel of the sword at hip. “It’s been a long time…but I still remember every face…” sighed Robert Baratheon as he was reminiscing about the glory of his past.  “Do you remember your first?” “Of course, Your Grace,” I replied, strolling across the room slowly, remember the whole thing in my mind. “Who was it?” Robert swallowed another gulp of his favorite wine. “A Tyroshi.  Never learned the name…” “Hm.  How’d you do it?” the king inquired. “Lance through the heart,”

I used to think all brothers were like Joffrey until we came to Winterfell. None of the Stark brothers are mean like he is. Mother always tells me to stay out of his way.

”Singer !” Jaime Lannister yelled, looking back towards the other riders in his posse, ”Come up here and sing us a song !” Tom O’Sevens was not accustomed to refusing the requests of highborn lords, and he certainly wasn’t going to refuse The Kingslayer. That is how he became ahorse that day. Jaime Lannister had decided to inspect his army’s camps between Riverrun and Casterly Rock, and when The Kingslayer asked him to join them on the ride, he knew he wasn’t ”asking”. So, here he was, outside the comforts of the castle, traveling down a road he didn’t care

A dialogue in the Godswood with Brandon

March 31, 2012 in Game Of Thrones, House Stark by Lyanna Stark

He sat in the gods wood. It was a pleasure to him when he could enjoy peace and quiet. When he went back to the castle there would be fussing, and chattering, them men would suck up to him. Then there were the ladies, who would ask him any number of question varying from how he  had liked his travels, to if they could offer him refreshment in their chambers later that evening. This was what he wanted. A silent still place, where no other person should be, because the daylight was fleeting. He drew his sword and cleaned it
