    Hey All,

    We have finished our review of the provincial troop numbers.

    We've used as many lore-friendly sources as we could to adjust the numbers, but in cases where there isn't a definitive number, we've tried to use our best judgement.

    As always, this is open to feedback from anyone and everyone. Please feel free to post any feedback as a reply to this thread.

    Caveat to this announcement: Some regions also have additional bonuses to be more reflective of lore and special circumstances which derive from them.

    Additionally, we are imposing limits on the types of troops that may be raised. These limits apply to all provinces, unless a regional bonus states otherwise.
    • No more than 10% of troops may be considered to be knights.
    • No more than 25% of troops may be considered to be cavalry.
    The aforementioned regional bonuses, as well as the rationale behind them, are are as follows:
    • The Reach
      • (Buff) Locations may exceed the troop strength limit by up to 20%
        • Rationale: Most populous region
      • (Buff) Up to 30% of troops may be considered to be cavalry
        • Rationale: Most fertile region, historically numerous cavalry
      • (Buff) Oldtown is host to 3,000 city watchmen for defense only
        • Rationale: Major city bonus
    • The Westerlands
      • (Buff) Lannisport is host to 2,000 city watchmen for defense only
        • Rationale: Major city bonus
    • The Crownlands
      • (Buff) King's Landing is host to 6,000 city watchmen for defense only
        • Rationale: Major city bonus
        (Buff) King's Landing troops do not count toward provincial troop totals
        • Rationale: Substantial diversity, major outlier in province
    • The North
      • (Buff) White Harbor is host to 500 city watchmen for defense only
        • Rationale: Major city bonus
      • (Nerf) It takes 2x as long to raise the regions full amount of troops
        • Rationale: Low population density, large territory
    • The Riverlands
    • The Vale
      • (Buff) Up to 15% of troops may be considered to be knights
        • Rationale: Tradition of knighthood
      • (Buff) Gulltown is host to 500 city watchmen for defense only
        • Rationale: Major city bonus
    • The Stormlands
    • Dorne
    • The Iron Islands
      • (Buff) Locations may exceed the troop strength limit by 10%
        • Rationale: Ironborn fighting spirit, more warriors available
      • (Nerf) Up to 2% of troops may be considered knights
        • Rationale: Ironborn do not traditionally follow the Faith of the Seven
