Cersei Lannister (P.O.V.)
June 26, 2012 in News by Queen Cersei Lannister (Y)
Cersei Lannister put on her queenly scarlet robes with a golden lion embroidered on it. Her mind reflected on everything that had passed in her life. Her golden locks tumbled loosely around her fair head and her emerald eyes shone with determination and passion. She brushed her hair softly as she took in her reflection in the mirror. How she longed for her son to be King on the Iron Throne. Locked away in her heart was a cold, dark secret. She hid her true feelings in poison and cruel words. She would stop at nothing to protect her sweet children and would even kill for them. She stalked like a lioness with deep courage. Everything thought was on providing and protecting her cubs. Cersei cared not how she would do this, but she knew she must keep her secret hidden in the dark pits of her soul.
Jaime was her twin brother and was everything that she wanted in life. He was her other half and was a million times a king than her drunken, fool-hardy husband, King Robert Baratheon. He slept with filthy whores nightly and never warmed Cersei’s bed. She cared not for her heart was filled with hatred towards him. She remembered how she was fond of him as a young girl on her wedding night. He was gallant, handsome, and strong. She was his young, pretty bride, but he had no interest in her. He called her Lyanna over and over. Curse the gods! She hated that name and her interest in Robert grew to disdain and then hate. The only happiness in her life was her ongoing relationship with her brother and her children.
Cersei waited for her brother to call on her. She needed him tonight. There would be no one with eyes on them. They would steal away and not been seen. This would be her perfect heaven. He was the father of her children. They had the beautiful Lannister golden hair and emerald eyes. They were splitting images of the brother and sister. She was pleased that no one suspected it; expect those Hands of the King. All they did was cause trouble and they were useless to her Jaime should be the Hand and Cersei had a plot to put him there. Yet, she would have to be pacified for now. Her heart beat fast in her chest, awaiting her one and only love to grace her with his presence. It would not be long now.
