Ser Jorah Mormont: Finding her children (POV)
May 16, 2012 in A Clash of Kings, Daenerys Targaryen, Fan-Fic, Game Of Thrones, House Mormont, House Targaryen, Season 2, Threading by Ser Jorah Mormont
I sighed as I left the building, then hurried down the long cobblestone stairway, feeling the distance grow between us yet again. I must find the dragons quickly. I should have never left her side. Ever since entering this great trading city I have felt unease. There are countless merchants looking to line their pockets and warlocks using sorcery to manipulate others.

Not far down the street I found the mysterious woman from Asshai, “Quaithe of the Shadow”. Before turning around, she acknowledged me. She knew who I was, and it seemed she even knew of my intentions.
“Jorah the Andal, you came for the dragons…” Quaithe said, in a soft voice.
“You have them? … where are they?” I asked, lowering my hand to the hilt of my sword and carefully stepping closer to her.
She turned to me with no sense of fear at all and taunting eyes, then said. “Draw your sword, see what your steel is worth…”
“You want to please the mother of dragons.” Quaithe proclaimed.
I didn’t bother arguing with the sorceress, it was as if she was inside of my head, reading my thoughts…
“You love her.” She said as she turned her back to me again.
I thought back to our conversation moments ago, Dany hugging her lion pelt so tightly… She still loves Khal Drogo. I know that she cares for me, but not like she does for him. There is no denying it, I have fallen for her.
“Will you betray her again? Jorah the Andal.” Quaithe asked, turning to me and looking deep into my eyes.
“Never!” I said confidently. There is nothing I am more sure of than that.
“The thief you seek is with her now…” the Asshai woman said calmly as she turned back to her work nonchalantly.
I backed away from Quaithe still somewhat baffled at what had just taken place. Then turned, running as quickly as a man in full plate mail could, toward the building which Xaro Xhoan Daxos had taken Daenerys into for a meeting with the thirteen.
Once again I find myself running to her side, where I should have been all along.
