A letter to Brandon on Traveling and Blackmail
March 21, 2012 in Game Of Thrones, House Stark by Lyanna Stark
How could you leave without saying anything? As if that weren’t horrible enough on your character you have the audacity to write me a letter about how wonderful it is. How your going to visit lord someone or another and more of our lord father’s banner men without inviting you wonderful beloved sister! You ser, are absolutely horrible, and it will be noted now that I will take my revenge on you for treating me so poorly! I really wanted to go, I had hoped you would take me with you, surely father wouldn’t mind. Even if you didn’t want to have me with you we could have gone to the Vale and you could have ‘dumped me on Ned so I am no longer your problem.’ He certainly wouldn’t do something so RUDE. HE has manners. I ought to start a collection of the rude things you say to me. Father would like to read them over with me. See how his heir to Winterfell treats his sister.
You know what would make me more furious, if you don’t tell me of your adventures. If you don’t I’ll tell father. Not only will I tell him but I will fuss and cry, I’ll do everything sweet ladies can do to force their sire to do what they like out of sheer guilt in an attempt to make them happy. Test me dear brother, you will regret it. Because once I’m done father will make sure you don’t leave Winterfell for a good long time. So do enjoy your secret trip.
If you are regretting being so rude, which I’m sure you must by now because you know father has a sweeter disposition to me I’ll only say this. I might be swayed to be quiet and good if you brought me a present. Not something stupid, I want something nice. Maybe you could find me a nicely made sword. Or you could have one made here for me, along with some armor. That would be lovely, then we can both wear our armor and we can practice jousting together for the tourney I’ll beat you in. I would even settle for a nice pair of riding boots, mine are so worn and torn it’s been difficult to fix them. Father might even approve of that selection. But he’s always had mine made by the clans so I suppose that might be difficult if your not further north. Your letter was rather vague and rude, so I have no idea where you could have possibly gone. Were you drunk when you wrote it? Anyway, I am saving your letter just in case you decide to deny me my right to know what you’ve been doing, and if you don’t bring me a proper present. Then we’ll see what he thinks.
