THREAD: The Love of A Mother Cersei and Joff

March 2, 2012 in Game Of Thrones, House Lannister, Threading by King Joffery Baratheon

Queen Cersei

~I have longed to speak with my son for some time. I wanted to know his true feelings about his future. He shall keep nothing from me and I have missed his presence. I summon him to my chambers. I sit there and look through the glass at the coldness of Winterfell. We cannot be leaving soon enough. I want our plans to be achieved.

Prince Joffrey Baratheon

~I enter my mother’s chambers dressed in the finest threads, lions tooth hangs at my side. My piercing green eyes stares at the Queen of all of Westeros~ Mother you called for me. I hope all is well.

Queen Cersei Lannister

I smile lovingly at my handsome son. He truly is the image of his parents. My emerald eyes dance with pride. ”My son, I am so glad to see you. I wanted to see how you were, my dear. How have you been liking Winterfell?” I ask politely, even though I know his answer.

Prince Joffrey Baratheon

~I hang my head down low~ Winterfell mother is nothing more than a chamber pot for the Starks. I detest it here! We are too good for this. I am too good for this!!! Even my lady Sansa is seldom around. I grow bored. Arya Stark harasses me constantly.

Queen Cersei Lannister

”Now my son. I hope you are behaving like you are supposed to. You must look good in front of your subjects. When the time is right, you may do as you wish. Right now, we need supporters. You have mentioned the Lady Sansa. What do you think of her? As for her sister Arya, think nothing of that vagabond child!”

Prince Joffrey Baratheon

~I walk closer to my mother and hug her~ I am trying mother. But it seems no one around here respects me. They just mock me. They mock their prince! I will make them all pay one day. As for Sansa she is what you think she would be. She is pretty mother. She will be obedient I am sure, and give me strong children. I don’t know honestly what to do with girls. I am not like my uncle I fear. I will punish Arya one day I swear it!

Queen Cersei Lannistery

*laughs sweetly* ”Oh Joffrey, you shall be a great King one day. You are young, but I know you will be a better ruler than the King,” I pause and continue, “I believe Sansa will be perfect for you and I think you can grow to love her. She is a sweet, kind little thing. She is also so eager to please. She will make you very happy one day,” I redirect the conversation to Joffrey’s other comments, “They are just jealous, son. They are not Lannisters and we are. We will get what we are due soon. You will know what do with girls, I promise you. Give it some time. As well, I suggest you ignore Arya. She is nothing, but trouble. She is nothing like her good sweet sister!”

Prince Joffrey Baratheon

~I am on the verge of tears; my mother is so kind to me. Some people believe that she is evil, but she is not~ I will rule all the seven kingdoms as it should be ruled mother. Yes I do think I can love the lady Sansa, but she has to respect me. She seems to want to please you as well. What should I do next to win her heart? Should I take her riding? Give her a gift? ~I look up into my mother’s eyes.~

Queen Cersei Lannister

~I thought for a moment and then smiled,”Joffrey, girls like to be paid many compliments and of course, a small gift would be just lovely. Give her a pretty trinket to please her. She will love you forever!” I laughed and then became slightly more sullen, “You have a great deal to learn, my son. I know your uncle can help you with many things and so can I. We love you dearly!” It broke my heart every time that I called Jaime, his uncle. Only he and I knew the truth, but we could not risk it. If the truth came out, we would be condemned to be sure. I shivered at the thought, “I hope we can leave Winterfell soon. I long for King’s Landing.”

Prince Joffrey Baratheon

~My mother looks sad for some reason. I wrap my arms around her~ don’t be sad mother; we will return home soon I am sure. Myrcella told me that I could give one of her necklaces to Sansa. They seem to be good friends. ~I pout a little~ But I do not like Tommen playing with Rickon. He is too good for that. Mother, why does my father the king hate me? He never speaks to me.

Queen Cersei Lannistery

~These questions break my heart a little, but I stay strong. ”Yes, Myrcella adores Sansa, as I do. She will fit in very well with King’s Landing. I think that would be sweet to give her a necklace. I am sure she would like a gift, no matter what it is,” His questions about his “father” wound me, but I can never tell him the truth. At least, I cannot speak of it, yet. ”Your father loves you, Joffrey, but you know him. He can be so rude and brash. He drinks too much.” I force a laugh.

Prince Joffrey

~I rest my head on my mother’s shoulder~ I truly feel like he doesn’t love me. I see him make you cry so often. But I will be strong. I will be just like you always. ~My mother is the only person who gives me comfort. I know that as long as she is around all will be right in Westeros.

Queen Cersei Lannistery

My son and I talk a little more. I enjoy this time we have together. If things keep going this way, we shall everything we dreamed of and then more!

~~~THE END~~~
